During major plant overhaul HALCOR requested our services for machining the main hydraulic plant press body, for modification and upgrade according to makers instructions.
The press body was cleaned, and glass blasted in order to inspect all welds by our quality control department engineers by means of NDT. Since no defects found, the body was aligned on our CNC boring machine and prepared for machining according to makers instructions.
Before machining all major and critical dimensions were measured and verified using measuring touch probe
The machining operations performed included side milling with our 2-axis milling head and orbital milling for rough machining of main bore followed by fine boring.
